The first ever demonstration of Lexus LFA launch control system off the line from 4000 rpm and then up to 260 KM/H (163 mph). Hitting 9500 rpm in every gear.
0 - 260 km/h (163 mph) in aproximately 19 seconds.

Fantastic. Car hooks up quickly without much drama.
Although I'd think would be faster still had the driver hit all his shift points a few hundred RPM earlier below redline.

Regarding shifts, he was shifting the correct way since it is a race-built motor. Shifting near the rev limiter (9500 rpm) means more torque multiplication through gears since the gears are spinning much faster and in the next shift you fall higher in the powerband.
As far as the torque curve is concerned, LFA makes an astonishing over 90% of its peak torque from 3000 - 9500 rpm so the torque curve even near 9500 rpm like racing car engines is very strong. You can see the speedo is climbing very fast every near 9500 rpm.
